HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN BUSINESS?

Since 2016, we've successfully completed more than 185 trips with over 6,000 travelers attending. Many of our travelers have been supporting us since our first year. We appreciate you all!

CAN WE LEAVE OUR VEHICLES DURING A TRIP?

Yes. Each trip itinerary lists the pickup locations. We have permission to leave vehicles where we meet the bus. We have parking passes to use during overnight trips. Security is not provided, and we are not responsible for damages. Carpooling is encouraged to limit the amount of parking spaces we use.

DO YOUR PRICES INCLUDE TRANSPORTATION?

Yes. Our prices include round trip motorcoach and airfare transportation starting from the pickup location. Most buses are equipped with video, Wi-Fi and a restroom. We use top-quality motorcoaches to make travel as comfortable as possible.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

Each trip is different. Please read the full itinerary before purchasing tickets. In order to be considered for a refund, you must contact us before the cancellation date listed on the trip itinerary. Cancellation fees may apply. Processing fees are nonrefundable. Any extra fees we incur due to your cancellation are deducted from your refund total. 

DO YOU OFFER TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Backroad Tours does not offer individual travel insurance and we are not affiliated with a travel insurance company. Previous travelers have used Faye and Travel Insurance and have been pleased. Contact these companies directly with questions. 

WHAT IS YOUR LIABILITY POLICY?

Each person must sign and agree to our liability terms and conditions which state; "YOU FULLY ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL RISKS AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR INJURIES, LOSSES, COSTS, DAMAGES & SICKNESS. YOU AGREE TO BE 100% LIABLE FOR YOURSELF, YOUR BELONGINGS AND YOUR PARTY/GUESTS".

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED ON TRIPS?

Absolutely! We love travelers of all ages. Please be aware that charter buses typically do not come with seatbelts, so car seats and booster seats cannot be installed. Anyone age 18 or younger, must be accompanied by an adult age 21+. Bus bathrooms do not have changing tables for babies. All travelers must purchase a ticket, regardless of age.

DO YOUR TRIPS REQUIRE A LOT OF WALKING?

Our trips are designed for active travelers. We sit as little as possible so having good mobility is important when traveling with Backroad Tours. Our itineraries list the daily activities and we stay busy! Many of our tours consist of walking on uneven terrain and in historic areas that require walking a distance from the bus to the location and back to the bus. Some of the hotels we stay at do not have elevators. We suggest good walking shoes. 

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS? 

Payments for day trips are due in full within 10 business days of registering. Overnight trips require a deposit and there is a final payment due date. After the deposit is paid, you are welcome to mail partial payments as often as needed as long as you are paid in full by the final payment due date. 

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept almost any kind of payment as long as it is good! We do not collect card information. If you want to pay with a card, we can provide a link or invoice which you will use to enter your payment information. There are processing fees for card payments. We also accept check payments. Check payments do not carry processing fees. Read the payment plan policy for more information regarding payments.
